I was introduced to Marie by my physiotherapist who suggested a course of one-to-one pilates would benefit me, so I knew that I was in safe hands, and there began my journey. Actually I will rephrase that, my new beginning. I was new to pilates and consider I struck gold when I met Marie. Believe me when I say my body was stiff-nothing worked. I was coming out of 6 years of a muscle aching virus, but Marie encouraged me and never gave up on me and we had a good laugh along the way. Slowly I discovered I had a whole new body. I subsequently moved to a class and one year later I still enjoy my hour with Marie. No class is the same, so it is never boring, and the hour flies. To anyone thinking of taking up pilates I would urge them to go for it. Start with a one-to-one if you can afford it, but young or old it is never too late. I’m a granny, have osteoporosis and severe degeneration of the spine but Marie has turned my life around.

I've been attending Marie's classes regularly and like her relaxed yet at the same time challenging teaching style. She makes sure the class is suitable for different levels and her excellent knowledge of anatomy makes you feel safe as she always watches out that you keep the correct posture for the exercises and don't overstrain you muscles. I especially like that even though you work hard during the class (and you can feel it the next day), you feel more rejuvenated and calm than exhausted afterwards. My posture has definitely improved and I can feel my muscles getting stronger bit by bit.

Pilates was recommended to me by my Physiotherapist. Because of back, neck and arm pain and general lack of mobility I was unable to join a class and commenced one-to-one sessions with Marie.

My experience of Marie is that she is very knowledgeable about Pilates and is positive and holistic in her approach. She has guided me gently, but thoroughly, through exercises that have helped me become stronger, more flexible, have improved my posture and have generally given me a better sense of well-being.
